The Speedgraf is a beautiful watch with 70's Vintage Vibes. The 39mm case size is well proportioned on the wrist. The Unique Rallye Strap is nice and comfortable. The seiko movement will mean servicing can be done by anyone. The Fact that it's limited to 300Pieces could mean that it will only increase in Value, this justifies the $1499US price tag which IMO is a little overpriced (but I pulled the trigger on it, as its damm gorgeous!!!!!) The case shape is nice, the domed sapphire glass is classy. The only flaw that I can say about it is the Bezel doesn't click as you rotate it. (But this could be query, as it's the only watch I own that do this!!) If I had the option to buy it again, I surely would. I look forward is purchasing another Yema watch again..
Yema has done a great job with this reissue. Quite often the reissues fail to capture the essence of the original. Not this one, it is almost indistinguishable from the original! The Seiko movement is top notch, the domed sapphire crystal retains the vintage look but is scratch resistant. The Speedgraf is somewhat smaller than most modern watches, but I find this to be an advantage. Increased size without any true function is just ******. Quality wise absolutely no complaints. On the contrary, the quality of the Speedgraf is on par with pretty much any brand. I am very happy with my watch, and will probably buy a Superman in the near future.
This is a great piece for any collection. The movement with well made with a column wheel and a vertical clutch, features you normally see on chronographs that cost much much more. Unfortunately there is a “ghost date” on the watch, I wish they would have either included a date wheel or had the movement modified to remove this. Finishing is good, but the case design is very utilitarian. I also wish the bezel had a ratcheting mechanism, the friction design is a bit loose for my taste. These few niggles aside, it really is a fantastic looking watch, if you’re looking at one now I’d suggest you buy it. I just received mine and it is numbered in the 27X out of 300, so there are very few left! Don’t miss out on this great reissue!
The speedgraf is a fantastic watch, perfect size and design, great leather strap. Everything you would expect from Yema
